
Elizabeth Frey
Elizabeth Frey, American mezzo-soprano, has been recognized by classical reviewers as an “achingly sensi9ve singer,” praised for her “warm, shimmering voice and engaging stage presence.” She has been in demand on opera and concert stages across the US, recently performing such roles as Romeo in I Capule) e i Montecchi, Suzuki in Madama Bu4erfly, and the 9tle role in Bizet’s Carmen.
Recent seasons have also included performances with Dayton Opera, Des Moines Metro Opera, The Cleveland Opera, The Gilbert and Sullivan Opera Company of Chicago, New Opera Works Cleveland, Utah Fes9val Opera, Opera of the West, Maryland Opera Society, and Opera Western Reserve.
As a concert soloist, Elizabeth can be heard in a wide variety of oratorio and concert repertoire. Recent highlights include the Masterworks series with the Dayton Philharmonic, Verdi’s Requiem with The American Fes9val Chorus, and Vivaldi’s Gloria and Mozart’s Great Mass in C Minor with the West Shore Chorale. Elizabeth is currently a member of the supplemental ensemble of Lyric Opera of Chicago.
